Dr. Idongesit Obiefuna is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Arizen Tax and Business Inc. She is a trusted tax professional with extensive experience in taxation, compliance, audit, collections, and business advisory services. Holding a Doctorate in Physiology, she brings a unique combination of advanced academic training, analytical expertise, and practical tax knowledge to help individuals and businesses navigate complex tax matters with confidence.
Drawing on a career dedicated to tax administration, compliance, audit, and advisory services, Dr. Obiefuna combines analytical rigor with practical experience to help clients understand their obligations, address challenges, and achieve successful outcomes. Her strong research, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills enable her to approach complex tax matters with clarity and precision.
In addition to her doctoral education, Dr. Obiefuna completed advanced professional training in accounting and taxation, including specialized studies in Canadian taxation, financial reporting, assurance, finance, management accounting, and tax compliance. This training complements her extensive practical experience and enhances her ability to deliver strategic, well-informed tax and business solutions.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Obiefuna has gained extensive experience in GST/HST audit, tax collections, tax account matters, business intelligence, customer service, tax coaching, and leadership development. Her diverse background has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of Canadian tax legislation, compliance requirements, financial analysis, and the practical challenges faced by individuals and businesses.
A significant portion of her career was dedicated to GST/HST audit, where she developed extensive expertise in indirect tax legislation, GST/HST compliance reviews, Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims, record-keeping requirements, and the practical application of GST/HST rules.
